Available Now: Aiken Audubon’s 2014 Calendar

Calender coverIn light of their successful 2013 calendar, Aiken Audubon is offering a “Birds of Colorado” calendar for 2014. They sell for a suggested donation of $12. Any profits over the cost of printing go toward the chapter’s education fund, used primarily to pay high-caliber speakers for their free monthly programs. It’s a great calendar for a good cause.

back coverIn addition to thirteen stunning photos of bird species found in Colorado, smaller images portray Colorado plants and insects, as well as more birds.I admit that I’m a bit proud of the fact that I took four of the large photos, plus some of the smaller ones that appear inside. The remaining images were captured by other Aiken Audubon photographers.

The calendar also notes significant bird-related dates (such as the Great Backyard Bird Count and International Migratory Bird Day). There is plenty of room to write in your appointments and reminders. Professionally printed on 8.5 x 11 glossy paper, the calendar features a spiral binding and is ready to hang.

You can pick one up at the Wild Bird Center (recently relocated to University Village on Nevada Ave.), Bear Creek Nature Center, or from any Aiken board member (including me).
